Nieke - Train Technologies

Nieke Division, located in Henningsdorf just outside Berlin, design and manufacture EMC filters, ractors, chokes and high-frequency transformers for the railway industry.
Filters .........................................................................
Filter chokes are used for noise reduction in high-speed trains. They are used in combination with a set of capacitors to smooth the auxilliary supply voltage on board the train. This supply is also required for crucial services such as heating, air-conditioning, lighting and power sockets within the train. |
Filters, Reactors, Chokes and High-Frequency Transformers for the Railway Industry
Nieke develops and manufactures high-power transformers and chokes for drive and railway engineering applications.
The power ratings range from 5kVA up to 500kVA. The working frequencies range from 16.66Hz up to 10kHz.
Using the latest nano-crystalline technology NIEKE can offer linear and toroidal components for higher frequency ranges, with potential isolation. These space-saving, lightweight filters and transformers are being used more and more in drive engineering applications, particularly for transport. |
Line Filters Chokes
| The line filter chokes produced by Nieke are used to meet EMC requirements, by reducing the voltage rise (dV/dt) and the inrush current, thus ensuring a reliable power supply to the carrages. For drive applications Nieke also supplies single and three phase line chokes which are available for a 1%, 2%, or 3% voltage drop and are used for reducing harmonics. |
