With innovation and experience for the future

What has begun in 1925 by Boris Freiherr von Wolff as a small Berlin-based company which manufactured resistors, switching and testing equipment and the motto "Reklame Erster Ordnung" or "Demonstrating First Class" as a literal translation, has now grown into a global company that is synonymous with innovation and sustainable business activities in various fields of electrical engineering.
Technically advanced products, strong culture of innovation and selected collaboration with universities and research establishments ensures that the company can compete in the global market by ensuring quality remains the highest priority.

Social commitment, transparent corporate structures, responsible, sustainable action with customers, employees and suppliers alike are important principles of REO's company philosophy.
"The growing awareness of consumers about their energy use has changed the way we all think about power generation, distribution and use, " said Friedel Twellsieck, a "cornerstone" and senior partner of the REO Group. " Although innovations such as switch-mode power supplies in your computer and Variable Speed Drives for industrial motors allow more controllable, compact products, they also introduce power quality problems that can cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) at a local level and voltage distortion problems at distribution level."

With 11 offices worldwide, it is REO's job to tackle these issues. Working in markets as diverse as drive engineering, electrical testing, transport and medical, we help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to utilize, filters, chokes, braking resistors, control electronics and test equipment to limit energy consumption, improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Thanks to ongoing developments, over 300 employees worldwide and our broad product portfolio REO is able to handle future requirements - recent innovations, such as the modular water-cooled braking resistor BWD 330, fully encapsulated chokes or the proven REOVIB controllers will ensure that we continue to ' Demonstrate First Class' for at least another 90 years.
