Application Notes for REOVIB Smart Range

REO is known worldwide for the REOVIB range of controllers that have been specially developed for use with vibratory feed systems employed in materials and parts handling. There are two operating methods to choose from; phase angle control and variable frequency output. Versions are available for just about every application, from the very simple stand-alone feeder to the most sophisticated field bus controlled system.

The REOVIB "Smart" controller is a cost effective solution for driving of linear and bowl feeders rated for up to 6A. The versions shown here are designed to opperate as stand-alone controllers and can be encorporated into a complete feeder system. The IP 20 model is fit to be installed in an enclosure or mounted to a backplate. The modular version is also designed for installation in an enclosure, mounted by a DIN rail bracket on the base of the controller. The "Smart" range of vibratory controllers can be powered from a 115 or 230V supply and set for half or full wave operation. The set point can be derived from a potentiometer (as seen with the IP 54 or "T1" model) or from an external analog signal. There are trimmers for setting the control range and adjustable soft start and an enable input for remote opperation.

REOVIB ATS 100

          

The ATS 100 controller is designed to maximize throughput acceleration of product with electromagnetic feeders. This particular controller is designed to drive a single feeder that is rated for up to 16A. It can be powered with a 110V or 220V supply at full or half wave opperation. The units shown here are the IP 20 and IP 54 versions. The IP 20 version is the base unit for the "Smart" system and can be extended by modules (see above) to efficiently drive the remaining feeder components, completing the system (bow/hopper/inline). The IP 54 version is a stand-alone controller, the output of which being controlled by a large knob mounted on the faceplate along with the illuminated power switch. The internal trimmers allow setting the control range for Umin / Umax adjustment. The EMC filter and fuse within are designed to protect the switching semiconductor. An integrated soft start prevents full power inrush at start up and protects coils from "hammering".

REOVIB ATS 200

     

The ATS 200 is a dual-channel vibratory feeder controller that is designed to be used as a cost effective system for driving a two component feeder such as a bowl/inline or bowl/hopper system. As with the ATS 100, the IP 20 version can be extended by additional "Smart" modules. The IP 54 version is a stand-alone controller that is protected by an alluminum housing and rubber gaskets conforming this model to a NEMA 12 standard rating. Sensor inputs are provided for each channel for stopping/starting the unit. As with the entire range of "Smart" controllers, this unit is power by either 115V or 230V supply and can function at half or full wave opperation.

REOVIB ATS 300

The ATS 300 can only be described as the total package under the scope of analog feeder controls. It is designed to control all components of a complete feeder system composed of a bowl, hopper, and inline feeder including sensor inputs for two of its three channels. The ATS 300 is also available in an IP 00, DIN rail mounted construction.
