Reduction of symmetric and asymmetric flow distortions , which are generated at the connecting line between the inverter and the motor due to the fast switching of the power semiconductors .

These disturbances can affect the performance of the engine by loud noises, and in extreme cases, by overheating. Here , a conventional motor choke can help. Thanks to their  design,  the motor choke can fulfill higher requirements than the dv/dt choke .

The voltage increase is limited to less than 500V / .mu.s. The voltage peaks of the conductor - conductor - voltage on the motor are less than 1000V. The motor choke dampens conducted interferences in lower frequency range, too. The losses and the typical noise in the motor plate can be reduced .

    Common problems at the inverter - reduce weight and volume.

    In addition to the typical problems at the inverter like voltage rise, symmetrical and asymmetrical current distortions, there is also the problem of common mode noise in multilevel inverters. In operation with common-mode interference occurs already at low currents to strong warming and in nominal operation can lead to the destruction of the choke.

    The motor choke CNW 835 reduces the voltage rise and the voltage spikes between the conductors. Furthermore, the current is smoothed; losses and heating are minimized and the leakage current reduced. Longer motor cable lengths are possible. By limiting the rate of voltage rise, the motor insulation is protected and, therefore, its life is prolonged. The motor choke also attenuates the conducted interference in lower frequency range very well. The losses and the typical noise in the motor plate can be reduced.

    Voltage rise (<200V / us) and current distortions reduce - protect electrical consumers optimally. The motor choke reduces the voltage rise and the voltage spikes between the conductors. Furthermore, the current is smoothed.

    Efficient cooling reduces power loss by up to 80% and reduces the heating of control cabinets. The targeted derivative of the losses via the cooling circuit prevents losses from being discharged into the environment. By using water cooling the temperatures in the components can be reduced greatly - this means less stress for the insulation materials and a longer service life.
